THE POSTARD FIELD NOTES
Build a content calendar you can keep using.
A useful calendar connects an idea, a purpose, a review and a delivery date. Start with a week you can realistically make.
1. Choose one audience and three themes
Write down who you want to help, what they are trying to do and the questions they keep asking. Choose three themes you can support with your own knowledge. For a home-cooking creator, these might be quick meals, ingredient substitutions and kitchen habits.
2. Give each post one job
A practical tip can help someone act. A question can help you learn. A process note can explain your work. Choose one useful next step for the reader rather than asking for every kind of reaction at once.
3. Adapt the idea to the format
For an image post, make the image readable and let the caption add context. For a text post, put the central thought first and remove anything that hides it. Reuse the underlying idea while editing the wording and presentation for each profile.
4. Review before scheduling
Check the caption, image, selected profiles, date and timezone together. Confirm permissions for images and quotes. Keep a clear distinction between an unscheduled draft, a scheduled post and a delivery confirmed by the platform.
5. Review outcomes separately from reach
First check whether each selected profile received its post. Then look at the metrics the platform actually supplies, including the date and measurement window. A follower count is a profile snapshot; it is not the engagement generated by one post.

Use the free planner to generate a useful tip, question, process note, misconception, checklist, follow-up and recap. Replace any prompt that does not fit your audience.
Make my free content plan ↗Postard currently supports text drafts, private image composition, a calendar and initial Instagram/Threads adapters. Live publishing depends on operator configuration and approved account access. Video and carousels remain on the roadmap.
